Wizball

In Retrospec's Wizball remake, players have to shoot at enemies to collect red, green and blue paint. Grab green pearls to trade for firepower upgrades, acquire complete control over the main character's movements and also to summon Catellite. Hold down the fire button to guide Cat around the landscape, as paint droplets can only be collected by your spherical companion.

The config.txt file can be edited to enable full screen mode.

  1. Well that's odd. The game displays that intro graphic but there's no menu. I thought it was loading at first. Music still plays so it's not just a plain old freeze.
Shame 'cuz I liked Wizball too!

  5. Anon - open the congif.txt and changed windowed from TRUE to FALSE and that should solve the issue. It appears a few people have had this problem. You can also try this replacement .exe - www.drderekdoctors.com/wizballd.rar

  9. Is it just me, or do the paintblobs at the wells level shoot at you? That was quite a surprise =P

  10. From level 4 onwards there is a random chance that the waves of paintballs will shoot at you (it gets more and more common) and also you don't get any starting waves of molecules from then on, either. It's amazing how different it is to the Speccy version...

Btw, new .exe files on the retrospec website which will cure the hiscore issue (they go into the wrong table atm) and also a replacement debug .exe which should allow people to run it windowed who had a problem before.
