Two gems in a row from Ishisoft, and it seems like the Puyo Puyo remake will make it three. A second release out only months after the excellent Pushover, Craig Forrester has now updated the Amiga favorite Clockwiser for everyone to enjoy.

The objective of the game is basically to rotate blocks belonging to the section on the left so that they match the ones shown on the right. This can only be done by drawing rectangles and moving them along it's edges, with the pull of gravity in effect at all times.

Special blocks will be introduced at a steady pace, and there are just enough configurable options to please both geniuses and beginners. An unlimited undo feature has been included, plus the doodle city is a blast to play around with.

Practically no fault to be found in this effort, hence it comes highly recommended for fans of difficult puzzlers.

Name: Clockwiser
Developer: Ishisoft
Category: Puzzle
Type: Freeware
Size: 5MB

I second the enthusiasm, a really wonderful puzzler. It should be noticed that not only there are all the original levels, but also the DOS Bonus and Amiga Demo ones, and even some more made from scratch.

Just be sure to grab a little fix for level 74 (for a mistake, it was made impossibile).

Cheers for pointing that out Davide. For anyone wanting the level 74 update, it's up on my website now, jrnetwork.co.uk/ishisoft/.

Tim W: thanks for the great review :)

Dear Craig,

I am one of the three creators of the original Clockwiser puzzle game. Seeing our game being recreated without having been asked for permission already caused annoyance, but when you decide to do that then at least give the original creators a rightful credit.

Best regards,
