That's not a great list. PQ2? MI2? Odd choices.

Also, KQ5 was certainly an important game in adventure gaming history, but I think KQ6 or KQ3 are way better.

Also note, sadly, not a lot of "new" games on this list.

The Last Express has its flaws, though it is certainly notable. I'm more distressed by the lack of Phoenix Wright, and possibly The Neverhood though that's probably a little too unconventional for them...

i'm not sure the neverhood constitutes a great adventure game, though it is a well-produced one. the last express is very impressive for what it attempts and what it manages to achieve.

who really cares about ign's opinions, though?

(also, listing myst but not riven is inexcusable.)

Day of the Tentacle, best game ever made.

That was my Fanboy's Minute. Hope you enjoyed.

PLayed a few in that list. What about Beneath a Steel Sky? At the time it was pretty rad. Also The Dig. Oh and Indie and the Fate of Atlantis, and maybe Full Throttle. All great games.

Full Throttle should be there. May be short but I enjoyed every bit of it a great deal.

What happened to "Blade Runner"? That was a great game, not to mention a movie license that actually didn't suck... :/

LeChucks Revenge is an epic game, took forever to play through, but the sound, graphic style, and acting of Curse of Monkeys Island are better than almost every game (not all of them) on IGN's top 10 list.

Really deserved a mention

Blade Runner... the proof that games can capture a movies atmosphere and intensity.

King's Quest VII was great, And Sam&Max Episode 1 has some great moments.

TLJ is a little bit overrated imo, but it's the only outstanding "newer" adventure.

WHAT?! No Gabriel Knight at all? You gotta be kidding! And I agree, IGN just sucks.

Gabriel Knight 3 is an absolute must, as it features the most intricate puzzle ever created: Le Serpent Rouge!

Oh, and hi Tim :)

Excellent points guys. I must concur :D.

I wish there was one single website where everyone can vote on their fav games. Some sort of global database. That would certainly give a clearer picture in terms of statistics, but oh well.

I thought I'd also mention that I truly enjoyed Broken Sword. In addition, I also like The X-Files, and Riven.

Also must put my vote in for Indigo Prophecy, BASS, Blade Runner, and The White Chamber.

Silly IGN... ^_^
