Happy news indeed, but I have to admit that Passage is the most important bit... Can't recommend it enough. Oh, and do try it more than once...
ReplyDeleteI tried it three times now, and to be honest I feel like I've just been wasting time.
ReplyDeletePixel has released the new version of cave story. (1.0.0.7)
ReplyDeleteI like Passage, though I think one problem with it is, like The Marriage, you don't really fully get it unless you read the author's notes/statement. And I think that's a flaw, albeit a minor one, because a game should stand on its own without requiring too much explanation to get it. Now there are people who get it without that explanation of course, but I am just kind of against making the author's explanations a recommended part of the experience of the work.
ReplyDeleteBut it's certainly one of the best indie games of the year, I agree.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to point out amongst the nice update, Passage was an amazing experience.
ReplyDeleteOh, SPOILER ALERT, I suppose:
I didn't really know what was going on at first, thinking that if I moved to the right that it would be less blurry, but then I realized what was happening.
By the time we were old and gray, I was really afraid for the moment that one of us would pass away.
