The twirly trees and the idea of rats. This is why it is dangerous for good artists/designers to reveal so early, always someone to take that idea further. I guess it's not exactly the same, but wonder if there was some inspiration in it. Very similar. And maybe the plants inspired here too? Also a pixeljoint platformer. Maybe even the ground.

You obviously have no art skills yourself, seeming as you can't tell these two examples have absolubtley NOTHING in common with my game there at all. Riva is a Rabbit by the way, and it's a project that's been running since December 2005. I don't know who you are (although I have some good ideas) but you're really quite a moron. :) Wasn't RR using these graphics months before them pixeljoint pics were posted? I've seen early shots and the style is similar, merely improved.

So if RR predates them games then perhaps it tells you loads about PJ people copying, right? I doubt if kenneth or buloght would copy from you. Nor anyone else of stature from Pixel Joint, they are a community of passionate hobbyists and professionals. When before has RR been posted? It looks like a new announcement just now? I would like to add to this discussion :

You want to honestly tell me that the rat in the game mockup of buloght is ripping RR yeah well maybe RR is ripping Jazz the Jackass Rabbit.. oooo thought about that yet? To inform you I believe buloght made the scaven battle line inspired by Adrian Smith's Warhammer

Kenneth's plants were up in 7/18/2006 when was the first screenie of RR released... Regardless for some reason i get a mario feel of the plants, which might be the same case for RR

So alas Anonymous your being very very fan boy'ish, I would suggest that you go practice your own pixel art skills and leave others be.

My humblest apology if I offended any of those parties as for the rest of the anonymous ppl... and Jay, deal with it. I am a pixeljoint follower (among other pixel communities). I have never seen your game nor heard of it. But I am not concerned about that, as it doesn't look much like the other two's except the plants are relatively similar.

Kenneth Fejer is a professional pixel artist, extremely talented. Some of his mockups in this thread:

As for buloght, he has in his description both the Skaven and Flink as inspiration, as Flink had a type of twisting trees also (different from both of yours and both of yours are also different).

Both of them are talented and more skilled than in what they do than what I can see from your game screenshots, it's not uncommon to reverse accusations when, however it's the way of the defensive nerd, next time simply respond calmly and don't be a jackass adam. And anonymous has every right to ask for your inspiration.

I don't think you can say that about pixeljoint's people. They have some of the most respected pixellers around. It looks like a cool game to me. Most of you are putting too much effort into this "conspiracy". Sure the graphics are a little similar, but not so much for these accusations. Adam and those other artists are talented and don't really deserve this. Wow Francois. I took the original Anon guys theory and reversed it. If you're looking for someone to fight with go pester him.
I doubt these developers visit PixelJoint and frankly I don't care. But the older screenshots I've seen predate the ones posted on your site. Make of that whatever you will.

But of course you won't flame the guy who actually supported your site. Heaven forbid.

Check dates next time. Adam is a hard-working guy, really. He was showing me some of his work and I suggested doing the twirly trees, along with some other things. Apart from being a really good pixel-artist, be assured that he's not ripping any ideas. And also remember that it's impossible to be original since there are always some influences.

If anyone judges him, why don't you show us some of your work to prove him mediocre? I'd love to see that. Sorry for the double post, but I just read "And anonymous has every right to ask for your inspiration" from ebby.

Let me put this very clear: This game is being made for YOU--for FREE. Even if it were a commercial game, or film, or literary-work, Adam does quite much deserve the right to keep his mouth shut before any of your questions, and you're nobody to ask or demand for anything--and least if you can't reach the heel.
