Storm Calibur: Counter Attack of Verrier has one of the best shmup gameplay system which is easy to pick up but requires some skill to master and use effectively.

With three weapon types to choose from, the highlight of the game is your ship's ability to launch counterattack shots at enemies when it grazes enemy bullets.

May have some problems running it in fullscreen. I would suggest trying out windowed mode first.
