Metal Gun by Donguri Retsuzan is a fighting game featuring characters resembling those found in Nazca's platfomer. Surprisingly playable, the gameplay involves plenty of shooting by pressing the A key to charge up your character's special attack gauge.

Holding down the D key allows you to shoot continuously, although this will use up the bullets that you've worked hard to accumulate. Reload and increase the special attack gauge by pressing the Q key.

Your vehicle can be called upon and controlled by pressing the W key. The special move can only be used once in every encounter. A comprehensive manual can be found in the game directory and at the web site itself, although everything is in Japanese so you might need to use an online translation service to understand the instructions.

One of the better fighting games made using Enterbrain's 2D Fighter Maker. Click on the first link just below the title, then select the link underneath the new characters to access the download page. The first file is a patch that doesn't work without the full version, while the second will allow you to download the free trial. Select the HTTP link to grab the file.

It's advisable to configure the controls to your liking before selecting a game mode.
