Montezumas Revenge is another late Retro Remakes 2006 Competition entry which looks great judging by the screenshots but ultimately doesn't work.

It works for me, but the transition between every screen is very slow, a sign of lack of optimization.

It's the bane of such competitions: some good games reach the deadline with some adjustments still needed, and without them, their quality is ruined. Between the few I tried so far, similar cases are Archaist (after some tries with the Sticky Keys configuration, it works better, but control is still sluggish) and Zynaps Remix (nice power-up system, but it crashes frequently and the graphics are a mix of old and renewed).
