Note: Not an official release.

Nifflas' Knytt Experiment is an attempt by the author to encourage user-generated content while building a coherent world for others players to explore. Anyone can create a new level and submit it for approval before inclusion into the database.

Only one small area is playable now, but if the response if positive then a proper game could possibly be released very soon.

Second Knytt Life.

It's actually a cool idea. Have your users create content in a collaborative setting. I'm interested to see how it turns out!

My only concern is that it is kind of limited. I had an idea for a level, but I'd need to create my own animations for some of the creatures that I'd like to put in.

From what I hear all you can do is change the sprites contained within a pre-set animation loop.
