Another Bound is a freeware FPS which could be very difficult to pick up for non-Japanese speaking players. Use the W, A, S and D keys to control your suited protagonist. Hold the left mouse button to shoot, and press the space key to jump. Tap the F1 function key to display the location map.

Recharge stations also double as save points, easily spotted by it's green glow.

Name: Another Bound
Developer: Crystal Light Stage

Nice... But the misic seems to miss the point completely.

The music in this is the best part about it. Wish I could listen to it seperately.

Seems like a nice game overall, too.

Nice. Also this is obviously heavily inspired by Metroid Prime. Everything about it just screams Metroid. The protagonist even looks like Samus.

The music isn't bad but at times it just doesn't fit with shooting some mutant insects. Somehow the largest crowds of baddies always get blasted to the most relaxing tune.
Boss fight soundtrack was cool though...

I agree with Phlogiston the music. (are you, by chance, this Phlogiston? If so, it's quite a coincidence--I've just started listening to that EP yesterday, it's most-awesome :D)

Unfortunately, my bullets seem to disappear at an annoyingly short distance. I actually got stuck at a point where it is obvious that I'm supposed to shoot a button from a distance through a hole, but my bullet does not reach it. So, this might be a glitch? :/

But yeah, despite this, I really wish I kept up with my Japanese. This seems like a really neat game, and a nice tribute to metroid. Has any one tried the stylus control yet? How does it match up to metroid prime hunters? (that game destroyed my touch screen...)

Try snooping around a bit going back and forth in the areas still accessible to you after you get "stuck"... Remember that it's really a Metroid Prime fan game so that means you eventually get arsenal/skill upgrades. Don't read further if you don't want to see a minor spoiler.

[Spoiler/Question]I'm stuck after beating a boss and getting the charged shot. No idea where to go next as backtracking is impossible due to the moving platforms positioning. I tried charge shooting different areas/objects but nothing happened. Help please?[/Spoiler/Question]

Ahh, true. Haha, thanks.

Also, correcting my typo above *I agree with Phlogiston /on/ the music. It's spot on.

I agree with the music, it doesn't fit the theme and feel the game seems to be trying to convey at all.

The area where you're stuck, for some reason you have to go back, and there will be a ton of bugs there again, turn on the power again, then you'll be able to find the boss on that dead end area.

For a low tech production this looks fairly interesting, and I like the work on the humanoid models, especially the armoured ones. But the bug models look simply terrible in comparison. I mean, that boss was just bad.

The really bad aspect of the game though is the short range of the weapon and the iffy collision detection. The shots don't seem to connect most of the time even though I can see them hitting the enemy model.

The game could also really use some more polish on the level design. Things just look way too repetitive.

It's not really that great a FPS, what I really like about it is the mood. So I think the music does a great job of setting a good mood, along with a nice visual style.

And yeah, Pita, I am that Phlogiston. I'm glad you like it.

Does anyone know what you are supposed to do in the last part of the ending? I did the first part, with the targets but after that I got absolutely no clue.
