Not owning an Xbox360 sucks. It's hard to give an opinion about games like Mutant Storm Empire, but fortunately Oddbob took a quick look at the demo and shares his thoughts about the experience on his spanking new page.

While it's hard to disagree with some of oddbob's criticisms, I don't share his revulsion at what I consider to be a very polished and worthy successor to Mutant Storm Empire. I really like it.

That blurb is truly awful though.

I only played the demo, but that was enough to convince me the game was duller than an American practice katana.
It was very pretty, and the critter designs were nice, but I never ever want to play it again.

I really enjoyed the demo, certainly enough to stump up the 800 points once I get some more on my Xbox. However after playing the demo I replayed some of Mutant Storm Reloaded to show it to a friend and found myself far more addicted to it.

So while I suspect MSE ain't as good as MSR, it's far from being a bad game for my tastes. Bob's just too 733t for his own good. ;)

I wish people wouldn't link to this 'review'. He didn't buy the full game and didn't try its multiplayer mode. This is not a good review, it's a rant about how the demo didn't live up to his expectations of what the game should have been.

Actually, despite what the write-up here says, if you had read the review, you'd see that he did in fact buy the full game.

I'm not sure why he'd need to review the multiplayer part, though.

Yes I did, no I didn't and no it's not.

However, I'm glad that some folks are enjoying it even if I can't gleam much from it :D

not withstanding the validity of oddbob's comments, its such a shame to trash pompom's stuff.

these guys were making indy games and selling them on the internet way before the recent XBLA explosion of the market and should be applauded for being pioneers.
