Enigma

Enigma is a brain-stretching puzzle game similar to Oxyd and Rock 'n Roll. The aim is to use your marble (controlled through the mouse) to open all matching pairs of the Oxyd stones scattered across each landscape, solving various puzzles and avoiding traps as you go.

Occasionally you will also encounter "meditation" levels where you must control two or more marbles at once, your task being to manoeuvre each one into small pits on the floor.

The game has a large (1000+) library of levels split across various styles so there's sure to be something for everyone. The download page has links to versions for Windows, MacOS and some flavours of Linux.

Enigma rock n' roll was a cool game with catchy music. I love Enigma. I just wish they'd find better sounds - the marble clanking around starts to grate on your nerves after a while. Metroid Cubed 4 fps, even when 'hog cpu to increase fps' was clicked D: Paul, are you using Vista by any chance? Shockwave is totally unoptimized for Vista. This should be fixed by the end of the year, when Adobe releases a Vista/Intel Mac version of Director MX.

Normally Metroid Cubed should have no trouble running full speed on any 1Ghz+ computer. Even a 733Mhz could give you 20-30 fps. I'm using Win XP actually. CPU: 2.0 GHz AMD processor. Maybe I should try it in IE instead of Firefox? Blazing Wings Update News Hurrican The game really is a lot better if you have a decent gamepad (such as the 360 USB controller). Keyboard just doesn't cut it for Turrican nowadays.

My setup is as follows:

Left bumper - Fire
Right bumper - Jump
X Button - Power Wave
Y Button - Grenade
B Button - Shockwave
A Button - Lightning Gun
Left trigger - Cycle Weapons (doesn't work?)
Right trigger - Look down

There, everything you could need. It's far more playable when you can aim and shoot AND fire lightning-charge shots without having to move your fingers. there is a workaround till the next patch is released for the weapon switch bug - you can find it here:

Just managed to scrape through to level 4 - level 3 was amazingly intense. Instant death in a second if you're careless. Very very hard, also with difficulty set to normal, but very fun to play and rather innovative.
I loved Turrican II and this game is the worthy successor.
I can't stop to play it!

The control with keyboard it's quite difficult, I play it with joypad and I can easily manage it. ;)
