Bunny Must Die is a nice but rather difficult platformer in the style of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night with directional knife-throwing, among other weapons. The inventory slots shown at the bottom of the screen indicates the protagonist's current abilities, acquired by collecting items scattered around the castle.

Instructions are in Japanese, though when the main menu is left alone for about fifteen seconds a handy demonstration will begin to play and provide subtle hints on getting past the first boss encounter. Doesn't quite qualify as a direct replacement for Konami's hallmark series, nonetheless it's another fine addition to Murasame's stable of quality doujin releases.

It asks you two questions when you first run the game.

I think the first one is something about a config file, maybe confirming that none exists so one will be made? I just clicked "yes" (はい)

The second is asking if you want to play the game in full screen.

Aw man, the game just closes after I get the 'Presented by Platine Dispositif' screen, both in full screen and window mode.

I was looking forward to playing it :(

Any of the Platine Dispositif games close right after loading for me as well... anyone know about this problem?

Perhaps you need to configure your system to play Japanese games. (no guarantees)
