Mutant Preview


Wielding a pistol in each hand? Outdated. How about a hero with two additional limbs and the capacity to carry four different weapons at the same time? Let's add cowboy zombies, skeletal robots, and naked people for good measure. A dash of telekinesis power wouldn't be out of place either, because Half-Life made it cool.

Mutant is overhead third person 3D shooter featuring a protagonist with four arms, and the gameplay does seem to resemble a mix of Crimsonland plus Alien Shooter. No demo yet, but a trailer has been made available for download from Napoleon Games' web site.

Crap! I came up with a very similar idea ages ago (and made a basic engine of it), and my entry in the TIGSource B-Game contest is about a character who quad-weilds guns :(

There were quad guns in MDK 2, when you played the dog.

hmm, the angle reminds me of some shooters that was made using the q1 engine (iirc).

especially the last of the two made me think of this game. just cant recall the name of it.

and just like endurion i was reminded of MDK2.
